DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of family fun at Fantasy Island. Once again\, the DSPG will be renting a pavilion for our families to meet and eat under on Sunday\, August 12\, 2018. Tickets include all day admission to the park and lunch. The park opens at 10:30am. Lunch will be served from 12:00-1:30pm and includes hot dogs\, hamburgers\, Iitalian sausage with peppers and onions\, garden salad\, rigatoni with sauce\, watermelon and ice cream treats. Unlimited soft drinks will be served from 11:30-2:00pm. \nDue to your continued generosity\, the DSPG will again absorb a portion of each ticket sold to keep this event fun and affordable for our families. Tickets will be sold to immediate family members and grandparents for $17. The cost to families who already have season passes to Fantasy Island is only $10 per person for lunch. Children ages 2 and under are free. We ask that extended family members and friends pay $27.00 per ticket. The company committed to donating $15 from the sale of each pair of socks to benefit Down Syndrome. Through the Second Family program\, an individual benefits from a “family” environment with an emphasis on integrating the family\, home and lifestyle of a provider and the individual. The Second Family program is often an ideal setting for families looking for their family member to transition from their home to another similar environment. Individuals leaving their natural home for the first time often thrive in Second Family because it is designed to be as similar as possible to a natural home and family environment. The atmosphere and mission of Second Family is to provide a nurturing place for an individual with a disability to be surrounded by a family\, offering their unique care and support. Second Family is also unique in that a family can identify their own provider if they so choose! Anyone can become a provider (other than the parent of the individual with a disability) such as a fellow community member\, neighbor\, sibling\, church member ect….! \nCome see what other exciting events we have planned and share your thoughts on what is to come. \nDon’t forget to register for Step Up for Down Syndrome before September 10 to receive your free tshirt!

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Martin’s Fantasy Island. We are renting a pavilion for our families Sunday\, August 4. Tickets include all day admission to the park & lunch. Park opens at 11:30am. Lunch is served from 1-3:00pm and includes hot dogs\, hamburgers\, potato & macaroni salad\, and ice cream treats. Unlimited soft drinks are served from 12:30-3:30pm. Last year the DSPG donated $1\,219.75 to this event. Due to your continued generosity throughout the year\, the DSPG will again be able to absorb $10.00 of each ticket sold. Because of this\, tickets will be sold to our group’s immediate family members and Grandparents for $12.00. The cost to families who already have season passes to Fantasy Island is only $6 per person for lunch. We encourage families to bring their extended family\, however\, we ask that extended family/friends pay $22.00 per ticket. This is still a discounted price for our group through Fantasy Island. Checks made out to DSPG can be mailed to Bonnie Zon\, 222 Culpepper Road\, Williamsville\, NY 14221\, by Friday\, July 26\, to allow time for tickets to be mailed back.
